Job summary

Job description

Daily Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for a multi-tiered complex processing system, including both new development and maintenance tasks.

Leading or assisting with requirements gathering sessions.

Analysis of requirements and system design work.

Presenting system designs to the users and technical communities.

Developing detailed design documents and program specifications.

Coding, unit and integration testing of programming assignments.

Writing and tuning SQL.

Working with XML-based data structures.

Technical support of user testing efforts.

Performance tuning of new and existing applications.

Production support tasks including analysis of issue, propose and implement solutions.

Mentoring less experienced staff.

Job Description

You must be an Expert Developer in COBOL, Tax, IBM DB2 with documented employment experience of 7+ years (84+ months).

You must have experience with analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team- Maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work; write application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, and software conversions.

Qualifications

• 84 months of COBOL programming experience in an IBM Mainframe Environment.
• 60 months of developing large complex tax processing systems.
• 60 months of IBM DB2 experience working with large databases.
• 60 months of experience working with XML based data-structures on an AIX/DB2 platform.
• 48 months of IBM MQSeries experience.
• 48 months of system analysis and design experience for multi-tiered transactional systems.
• 48 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component based systems.
• 60 months of JCL experience.
