Role Overview

Agency is looking to hire a Software Architect to work with staff for the purpose of analyzing, developing and testing for all aspects of the systems modernization initiatives. Government regulations drive these initiatives requiring overhaul of our legacy silo applications to bring them into current architecture methodologies with improvement to quality and governance of our enterprise master data.

Duties

• Define data requirements, write application specifications, and design for the mainframe and .NET processing based on a set of business requirements.
• Write .NET and COBOL programs based on the design; also write necessary JCL.
• Perform unit testing for each module and write test plans for integration testing.
• Migrate programs to the production environment and perform post‑production validation of the implementation.

Mandatory Requirements

• 14+ years of experience.
• Experience making high‑level design choices and dictating technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.
• Ability to design multi‑leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.

Requirements

• 100% onsite.
• 84 months experience with COBOL/CICS/JCL with version z/OS 4.2.0/V3.2.
• 84 months experience with DB2/SQL with Version 10.
• 72 months experience with Endevor with Version 15/0.
• 84 months experience with XML with version 1.0.
• 36 months experience with SOA.
• 36 months experience with SoapUI/WSDL with version 3.5.1.
• 48 months experience working with a governmental agency.
• 60 months of Assembler.
• 60 months of CA‑Intertest.
• 72 months of AAMVA Unified Network Interface (UNI).
