This position collects data in the feed conversion houses and dissection laboratory by using measuring instruments and electronic devices. Other duties may be assigned.
Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months. Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
Wednesday-Saturday from 5:30 am - 3:30 pm or until completion. The work schedule is subject to change based on production needs.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds, items such as cases of Synergize, supplies, etc; required to occasionally use wheeled dollies to lift and/or move up to 500 pounds of feed, supplies, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand majority of shift on concrete; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects and controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; climbing/ladder usage; stoop/bend up to 1000 times per day; repetitive hand/wrist movements while dissecting birds with scalpel, knife or other cutting instrument; talk or hear; drive a vehicle within the farm complex. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. Must have good communication skills to accurately convey opinions and concerns.

Safety goggles, safety glasses, face shield, chemical gloves, cutting gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required. Must wear company provided facial covering. Ear plugs will be used as needed. NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed.
