Coax OSP Maintenance Technician - DuBois, PA

Join Zito Media as a Coax OSP Maintenance Technician in DuBois, PA. We are seeking an experienced cable system Broadband Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance on CATV feeder/distribution and trunk systems to ensure optimal system performance. This role also supports Service Technicians regularly.

Requirements: 5 years of CATV experience or related work history in the cable TV industry.

Job Responsibilities

1. Identify faults in subscriber drop, feeder/distribution, and trunk systems to ensure proper signal quality and compliance with standards.
2. Correct faults by adjusting, repairing, or replacing components.
3. Perform signal egress/ingress detection, sweep alignment, troubleshooting, and system balance.
4. Restore signals during outages in feeder/distribution and trunk systems.
5. Complete work requests from subscriber service and technician follow-ups.
6. Audit the system and terminate unauthorized connections.
7. Activate new plant and perform preliminary proofs.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
9. Travel to other states as needed.

Skills Required

1. 5 years of CATV experience or related work in the cable TV industry.
2. Ability to use signal level meters, volt-ohm meters, cable locators, spectrum analyzers, and other testing equipment.
3. Technical problem-solving skills.
4. Effective communication with customers.
5. Ability to work independently within broad guidelines.
6. High school diploma or equivalent.
7. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Special Requirements

1. Active driver’s license required.
2. Capability to drive a bucket truck.
3. Physical ability to climb poles, ladders, and perform manual tasks.
4. Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
5. Work at heights up to 40 feet and lift up to 100 pounds periodically.
6. Use standard tools for cable routing and installation.
7. Flexible schedule for normal and on-call duties.
