Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or related field.
• Two or more years of working experience in a chemistry lab.
• Knowledge of paint, coatings, and related raw materials.
• Efficient at summarizing technical data and presenting results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-starter and ability to take initiative and drive toward results.
• Attention to detail and scientific rigor.
• Comfortable working in teams, sharing data, and communicating effectively.
• Extremely organized.

Responsibilities

• Work in cross-functional teams to develop new coatings technologies and evaluate new polymers.
• Design and execute experiments for paints and coatings formulations and testing to meet targeted objectives.
• Document and summarize experimental results in electronic lab notebooks.
• Analyze data, report results, and recommend next steps.
• Use analytical tools to solve problems and find solutions.
• Participate in plant scale ups.
• Collaborate with Procurement for evaluating new and alternate materials.
• Manage raw materials for the lab.
• Maintain lab equipment and shared work space.
• Other duties as assigned.
