Job summary

Fort Wayne Metals is seeking a Quality Engineer-Coatings to lead QA/QC support across Operations, Sales, Engineering, and Quality teams. You will ensure compliance with customer requirements and Fort Wayne Metals’ quality system, participate in audits, and drive continuous improvement across processes and tests.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 3 years of QA experience, and CQE or equivalent certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• ASQ CQE or other certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of quality experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control and assurance for production and testing per customer and Fort Wayne Metals requirements.
• Update procedures, work instructions, forms, and specifications to meet quality standards.
• Design and refine methods for process control, testing, and inspection; implement change with Quality Manager.
