Job summary

WEG Coatings LLC, located in Manitowoc, WI, is hiring for a production associate in a first shift role. The position involves learning multiple stations across large and small coil departments, including surface prep, dipping, spraying, and finishing tasks.

Employees will operate cranes, handle coils, and ensure quality coatings while maintaining safety. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with bi-weekly pay and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for 10 hours.
• Must be able to wear a respirator.
• Experience with Paint/Coatings or related industry is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Place caps on open coil tubes.
• Straighten fins on metal coils.
• Dip coils into coatings in a large tank.
• Operate overhead cranes/hoist with remote control.
• Spray coils with primer and coatings.
• Unpack equipment from customers and match paperwork.
• Move coils on carts into ovens.
• Inspect coils for even coats of paint.
• Move drums into the department.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
