Job summary

Axalta Coating Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Area Engineer for its Front Royal, VA facility. You will partner with site engineering and maintenance teams to define scope, identify design requirements, and develop cost estimates for equipment, construction and commissioning.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to influence peers and management. You will coordinate mechanical, process and electrical design efforts and support daily construction

Qualifications

• Good communication and presentation skills (both oral and written).
• Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence managers, peers, and maintenance team.
• Analytical and mathematical skills; understanding of engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Work with site engineering & maintenance resources to develop scope and objectives.
• Follow process and identify phases and design requirements.
• Develop estimates including equipment, construction and commissioning cost.
• Perform financial analysis.
• Provide leadership through the approval process.
• Coordinate Mechanical, Process & Electrical design with in-house and contracted resources.
• Assist with providing daily construction management support.
• Maintains project design and commissioning documentation.
