This position is based in our 4, Whitehall Thermatech Facility, supporting manufacturing through process control, product integrity, customer relations, documentation, and profitability improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and improve processes to meet or exceed aerospace component quality standards, focusing on metallurgical quality, process improvements, yield, and labor reduction. Specific duties include:

  • Investigate and resolve external customer escapes.
  • Support part qualification, re-qualification, and metallurgical investigations.
  • Monitor and analyze yield, labor, and materials for process improvements.
  • Support manufacturing output, provide training, and update work instructions.
  • Conduct technical meetings and provide data to meet customer needs.
  • Engage in NPI meetings, review design concepts, and contribute to BOM, routings, and milestone plans.
  • Prepare cost models for materials, scrap, and labor.
  • Participate in tooling development and build processes.
Qualifications:

Basic:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry from an accredited institution.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not available.

Preferred:

  • Degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, Material Science, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience in coatings (CVD or EBPVD) or casting environments.
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or labs.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, statistical tools like Minitab, JMP, Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ABS, and DOE concepts.
