Job summary

SkyWater Search Partners is seeking a hands-on Applications Lab Specialist to own customer testing and demonstrations in an applications lab. You'll translate manufacturing requirements into equipment setups and process parameters, and help shape expanding lab space and processes.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial liquid coatings, understands finish quality and defects, and is comfortable working directly with customers in a practical lab environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with industrial liquid paints or coatings.
• Strong understanding of coating quality, finish defects, and application variables.
• Practical troubleshooting experience with industrial finishing or spray equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute customer tests and live equipment demonstrations.
• Evaluate liquid coating quality, application performance, and finish defects.
• Select and configure application equipment based on customer process requirements.
• Adjust operating parameters to improve quality, throughput, material usage, or repeatability.
• Document test conditions, results, findings, and technical recommendations.
• Communicate directly with customers during demonstrations and technical discussions.
• Support hands-on product training and the continued buildout of the applications lab.
