Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree inMechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, automation, process equipment, or industrial systems.
• Internship, co-op, or research experience with automation, controls, or roll-to-roll systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of modifications to pilot-scale roll-to-roll coating equipment.
• Develop mechanical designs and engineering solutions for coating system upgrades
• Support installation and integration of inline machine vision and inspection systems.
• Assist with automation and controls upgrades for coating equipment.
• Participate in equipment commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with process engineers and researchers to improve coating uniformity, process control, and production efficiency.
• Collaborate with coater technicians to provide hands on assistance executing trials as needed
• Prepare engineering documentation, test reports, operating procedures, and modification records.
