Job summary

Glenroy, Inc. in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, is seeking a Coating Operator Assistant to run extrusion coating lines under the Coating Lead.

Under the direction of and reporting to the Coating Lead, the Coating Operator is responsible for operation of the Extrusion Coating lines.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Perform various production and service activities related to the setup and operation of the Coating line by following written procedures and instructions.

  • Perform and document all necessary testing of raw materials.

  • Communicate production issues to the Extrusion Coating Operator.

  • Communicate quality-related decisions to the next operation using defective material identification and flagging systems.

  • Enter time and quantity information into the computer system.

  • Move raw materials and finished products as needed.

  • Perform required preventive maintenance and housekeeping.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills & Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of web handling fundamentals.

  • High school-level math skills.

  • Ability to read standard ruler measurements.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • English verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently with team members.


Physical Requirements:



  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to operate tools and equipment.

  • Ability to lift and move objects over 50 pounds.

  • Vision requirements include close vision, color recognition, and focus adjustment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee infrequently works near moving mechanical parts and is infrequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is quiet - hearing protection is required on the manufacturing floor.


Protective Clothing/ Equipment Required:


Hearing protection, safety shoes, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements must be worn in all manufacturing areas. Additional PPE may be required as needed.
