Coating Machine Operator
Pay: $18 - $19 per hour
Hours: Full-time, rotating schedule: 6:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. / 6:00 p.m. to 6:15 a.m. (2-2-3 schedule)

As a Coating Machine Operator, you’ll operate specialized coating equipment to produce high-quality coated ink ribbons. You’ll work closely with the production team to ensure product specifications are met, perform changeovers, and carry out quality inspections to keep production running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Operating coating machines in accordance with established safety and operational procedures
- Producing precisely coated ink ribbons based on product specifications
- Performing product changeovers, including roll exchanges, cleaning, doctor blade adjustments, machine threading, filter changes, parts cleaning, and material handling
- Measuring and charging ink raw materials and organic solvents carefully and accurately
- Monitoring ink supply and coating systems to ensure consistent quality
- Troubleshooting basic equipment and process issues promptly
- Performing visual inspections and quality control testing on finished products
- Adjusting machine inputs to maintain optimal product quality
- Assisting with routine maintenance and coordinating repairs with maintenance staff
- Identifying potential causes of defects or inefficiencies and reporting them
- Participating in productivity and cost-reduction initiatives
- Operating test equipment, gauges, sensors, and other specialized instruments
- Keeping the work area safe, clean, and organized at all times
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of machine operating experience in manufacturing
- Prior product manufacturing experience preferred
- Chemical mixing or blending experience is a plus
- Strong ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages, multiplication, and division
- Skill in reading and using precision instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and microscopes
- Ability to pass a physical exam and respirator test
- Capable of working safely around organic solvents while wearing respiratory protection
