Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a mechanically inclined Coating Machine Operator in Ohio to drive production on coating lines. You will lead machine setups, monitor controls, and troubleshoot adjustments to meet daily goals.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The shift is 7pm-7am with a 2-2-3 rotation, and safety is a core value in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Preferred: 2+ years of skilled labor with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Comfortable using computer applications and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Setup: Lead setups, product changeovers, and program production sequences for optimal productivity.
• Troubleshooting & Controls: Monitor meters, gauges, temperatures, and pressures; diagnose malfunctions to find root causes.
• Quality & Safety: Perform routine quality tests using standard measuring devices; follow safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Collaboration: Support preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives; collaborate with team to hit goals.

Job Description

Are you a mechanically inclined problem-solver looking to own and operate advanced production technology? We are seeking a reliable Coating Machine Operator to drive performance and accountability on our coating lines. In this role, you will lead machine setups, monitor technical controls, and troubleshoot adjustments across multiple workstations to hit production goals.

Shift: 7pm-7am, 2-2-3 rotation

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Setup: Lead setups, product changeovers, and program production sequences for optimal productivity.

Troubleshooting & Controls: Monitor meters, gauges, temperatures, and pressures; systematically diagnose machine malfunctions to find root-cause solutions.

Quality & Safety: Perform routine quality tests using standard measuring devices; safely load/unload raw materials and finished products while strictly adhering to safety policies and PPE requirements.

Collaboration: Actively support preventative maintenance (PMs), participate in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, standard work), and collaborate with team members to hit department goals.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma/GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience. Commitment to safety as a core value.

Preferred: 2+ years of skilled labor experience demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude.

Comfortable using computer applications and ERP systems.

Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a track record of high-quality work.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically and work designated shift hours plus reasonable overtime.
