Job summary

IPG is seeking a Coating Machine Operator Level 1A to join the Coating department. The role involves safe, productive operation of coating equipment, data collection, and quality testing to ensure consistent output. Reports to the Manufacturing Manager and requires flexibility across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience with basic math, written and oral communication skills.
• Manufacturing experience in coating, web handling or extrusion preferred.
• Ability and willingness to work with others as a team member.
• Ability to understand and work with metric measures and volumes.
• Ability to lift 50lbs., climb stairs, walk, and stand a significant part of the shift.
• Ability to work in high humidity and high temperature environments.
• Must be able to work any shift required, including overtime.
• Must complete all required annual training to meet safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Participate on problem solving teams as required

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in Plant Safety Program.
• Operate machinery while monitoring material, equipment, and methods to ensure quality product is manufactured.
• Perform in-process quality testing.
• Change-over, start-up, monitor, and adjust operating conditions to maintain quality, production, and safety standards.
• Produce product at an acceptable rate and required quality.
