Wolverine Advanced Materials, LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector in Blacksburg, VA to visually inspect rubber coated and related materials, log defects, and coordinate with the coating line team. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and ability to learn measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; basic computer skills and keyboard use.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; able to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to use measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Visually examines and feels surface of rubber coated, adhesive, topcoat, and pretreat/primer to detect defects.
• Records all defects and necessary information on hourly and defect logs.
• Communicates with Coating Line Operators for any issues with the material.
• Cuts material samples at beginning and ending of each master coil.
• Assists in line setup including back flush, material changeovers, and compliance to Job Sheet/SMP.
• Assists in finished coil removal and startup of new coils.
