Job summary

Mactac is seeking a reliable C8 Operator to join our Moore, SC production team on second shift. You will operate face and liner stations, monitor solvent coating systems, and manage the rewinder to meet specifications and productivity targets.

You must read and interpret production specs and safety instructions, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, with willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret production specs, work orders, and safety instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate face and liner stations to apply adhesive coatings and lamination according to job specifications.
• Run and monitor the solvent coating system, pressure, and flow rates are maintained.
• Set up and operate the rewinder, maintaining correct tension, alignment, and cut lengths per production requirements.
• Perform routine start-up, run-time, and shutdown procedures for each section of the line.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production schedules to meet quality and efficiency goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues and escalate significant problems to maintenance or supervision.
• Monitor product quality, complete in-process checks, and ensure all specifications are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas.
• Complete accurate production documentation and inventory reporting.
• Communicate effectively with team members across shifts to ensure consistent line operation

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated C8 Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating multiple components of the C8 line, including the face station, liner station, rewinder, and Solvent coater. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production, maintain product quality, follow safety protocols, and perform routine equipment monitoring and adjustments.

Second Shift: 6:00a-4:30p Monday- Thursday

*Fridays or Saturdays as needed.

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret production specs, work orders, and safety instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Prior experience with coating, laminating, or Solvent coating/Printing.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Scope:

• Physical Requirements: Lifting, carrying, and moving up to 75+ lbs., Standing up to 10+ hours a day, twisting, bending, squatting, and varying temperatures.
• Work Authorization: Legal authorization to work in the US is a required.
