Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Coating Line Operator for the 1st shift in Owatonna, Minnesota. The role involves hanging parts for coating, moving materials, and packing finished items.

The standard schedule is Monday–Thursday, 5:00am–3:30pm, with a starting hourly wage of $18.50. Qualified candidates will rotate among positions, uphold ISO quality standards, and ensure accurate part identification and shop-order accuracy while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing is recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

• Hang individual parts on fixtures prior to coating.
• Remove parts after coating and place into required containers.
• Rotate between various positions and equipment as instructed; perform material movement.
• Maintain quality and ISO standards by checking/testing products.
• Verify quantity and part identification to resolve shop order discrepancies.
• Work safely and follow procedures to prevent injuries.

What Success Looks Like

• An active team player hanging individual parts on various sized fixtures.
• Able to remove parts from fixtures after coating and placed into required containers.
