Job summary

Advanced Lining, a UFT company, is seeking a Coating Applicator to support certified crews in surface prep, coating application, and job-site safety. This hands-on role requires frequent travel (roughly 90%) to local and out-of-state assignments, with growth potential in industrial coatings and corrosion control.

You will assist in pressure washing, masking, equipment setup, mixing coatings, and following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• One year of coating application experience or relevant experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Travel 90%+ required.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Interest in pursuing AMPP/SSPC/NACE coatings certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and unrestricted driver’s license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surface preparation activities including pressure washing, sanding, grinding, and masking.
• Support the setup and cleanup of coating equipment, hoses, and job site materials.
• Assist in coating application processes using brush, roller, or spray equipment under supervision.
• Mix coatings and materials per specifications under the direction of experienced crew members.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE, including respirators and fall protection.
• Help with environmental monitoring (e.g., dew point, temperature, humidity).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and toolbox talks.
• Show up on time, work hard, and demonstrate a willingness to learn the trade.
• Assist in completing daily production and safety logs as required.
