Job summary

Advanced Lining, a UFT company, seeks a Coating Applicator to support certified applicators in surface prep, coating, equipment handling, and safety at water and wastewater sites across the U.S.

Requires 1 year coating exposure, HS diploma, and 90% travel. Must lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors, and follow strict PPE guidelines; DOT medical card and MVR checked. Growth through AMPP/SSPC/NACE certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• One year of coating application experience or relevant experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to travel 90%+ is required.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• OSHA 10 or 30 Certification preferred.
• Interest in pursuing AMPP/SSPC/NACE coatings certification.
• Able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and unrestricted driver's license w/ acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surface preparation activities including pressure washing, sanding, grinding, and masking.
• Support the setup and cleanup of coating equipment, hoses, and job site materials.
• Assist in coating application processes using brush, roller, or spray equipment under supervision.
• Mix coatings and materials per specifications under the direction of experienced crew members.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE, including respirators and fall protection.
• Help with environmental monitoring (e.g., dew point, temperature, humidity).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and toolbox talks.
• Show up on time, work hard, and demonstrate a willingness to learn the trade.
• Assist in completing daily production and safety logs as required.

The Coating Applicator must have the ability to travel 90% of the time. Travel will consist of local state and out of state Travel.
