Job summary

Vitro Architectural Glass in Carlisle, PA is seeking a Coater Operator team member to assist with production setup and monitor coating operations. You will work with engineers and maintenance to address concerns and ensure safety and quality guidelines are followed.

The role requires ability to read procedures, operate and maintain coating equipment, and support a safe, productive work environment in 12-hour shifts with potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist Coater Operator with setup of production and monitor equipment.
• Notifies Coater Operator, Engineers, and Maintenance of concerns as needed.
• Communicates clearly on required periodic check sheets.
• Responsible for routine maintenance of all Coater equipment - assembles/disassembles/repairs tub shields, roll assemblies, planar and rotatable cathodes, etc
• Assists in operating the surface protectant equipment.
• Support GMMs in troubleshooting efforts for the line.
• Support operators during coater repair when necessary.
• Ensure all product specific and quality guidelines are followed in accordance with Vitro Quality Management System.
• Perform process checks.
• Clean coating chambers, targets, conveyors, and all related equipment.
• Be a team player and assist co-workers in performance of their duties.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Support, promote, and exhibit positive safety behaviors.
• Support, promote, and adhere to all Vitro Rules.

Essential Requirements:

• Ability to work the following shifts: 12-Hour Shifts, OT, Weekends, and Holidays as needed.
• Good attendance is important to our team Vitro. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a history of good attendance and who welcome overtime.
