Job summary

Vitro Architectural Glass in the Carlisle area is seeking a Coater Operator to support production lines and ensure coating processes meet quality standards. You will operate and maintain coating equipment, follow safety rules, and work 12-hour shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work fast, efficiently, and willing to work overtime.
• Ability to understand basic math, reading, and writing; effective communication required.

Responsibilities

• Set up operations for required production and monitor signals and equipment; take corrective action as needed.
• Notify Coater Engineers and/or Maintenance of concerns as needed.
• Document changes in equipment status in the Operator Logbook clearly and professionally.
• Perform routine maintenance of all Coater equipment.
• Assist GMMs in troubleshooting efforts for the line.
• Ensure product-specific and quality guidelines are followed per Vitro QMS.
• Perform process checks.
• Clean coating chambers, targets, conveyors, and related equipment.
• Assemble/disassemble/repair coater equipment such as tub shields and roll assemblies.
• Be a team player and assist co-workers in performance of duties.
• Support and adhere to safety behaviors and Vitro rules.

• Support, promote, and adhere to all Vitro rules and policies

Qualifications:

• Education:
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Able to work fast and efficient and willing to work overtime
• Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Ability to effectively communicate

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds repetitively
• Must be able to work in both cold and hot environments
• Must be able to work 8 to 16 hours per day
• Must be able to stand, sit, bend, stoop, twist, kneel
