Job summary

The Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center seeks a Peninsula (Coastside) Program Manager to lead Coastside programs, manage the Business Resource Center, build community partnerships, and provide client services across the San Mateo County Coastside. The role involves office and field work, reporting, and occasional travel to partner sites.

The position requires 5–10 years in nonprofit program management, staff leadership, and strong community engagement, with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in nonprofit or government program management.
• Experience managing staff and volunteers.
• Bilingual competency in Spanish preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel within the service region.
• Strong community engagement and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of program delivery for small businesses.
• Ensure the Business Resource Center is adequately staffed during core operating hours.
• Develop programs and events addressing the needs of business communities.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and evaluation of consultants and volunteers.
• Monitor program and budget progress; assist with grant billing and reporting.
• Prepare quarterly progress reports for internal and external review.
• Manage assigned staff with coaching and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate on regional special projects and deploy resources accordingly.
• Support grant management and proposal development as needed.
