Job summary

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services in Virginia Beach is seeking an experienced maritime operations professional to plan and supervise vessel activities within the region. You will issue and update coastal schedules and coordinate port operations to meet line requirements.

You will liaise with partner lines, manage berth windows, and monitor voyage execution, communicating sailing instructions and coordinating port/terminal activities with local offices to minimize dead time and costs.

Qualifications

• Academic education: Maritime Degree (preferred).
• Maritime operational experience (Agency, Terminal Ops).
• Experience: 5-7 years in Shipping Industry (Maritime).
• Working knowledge of containerized supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise vessel activities within the region.
• Issue and update Coastal Schedule with BU approval.
• Coordinate Port Ops and berth windows to minimize costs.
• Monitor voyage execution and communicate sailing instructions.
• Coordinate Panama Canal crossings and vessel appointments.
• Liaise with partner lines on joint services and slot charter.
• Instruct local offices to coordinate port/terminal activities (pilots, tugs, lines).
• Ensure effective and cost-efficient port ops within the area.
