Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a day shift acute care position in Fort Bragg, CA. You will operate in a Med/Surg acute unit, using EPIC EMR, delivering coordinated care to a defined patient group and supervising nursing staff.

Requirements include CA RN license, BLS/ACLS, EPIC EMR, and a minimum of 2 years in acute care with recent experience; BSN preferred. This role offers a coastal community setting with generous benefits and travel-related perks.

Qualifications

Active CA RN license required.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS).
EPIC EMR experience required.
Minimum 2 years of specialty Med/Surg experience with recent work within last 3 months.
BSN and acute care facility experience preferred.
No prior license disciplinary actions permitted.

Responsibilities

Med/Surg acute unit within a critical access hospital setting.
Day shift schedule, 0700-1930, up to 36 hours per week.
Uses EPIC EMR system.
Delivers coordinated nursing care to an assigned patient group, supervising and directing various levels of nursing staff.
Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
Provides patient and family education throughout the care process.
Located in a small coastal community offering access to redwood forests, beaches, and outdoor recreation.
Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined.
No radius rule applies; local candidates are paid the same rate as travelers.
