Job summary

The University of South Carolina is seeking a Training Program Coordinator in Georgetown to lead the NOAA-funded Training and Engagement Program for the North Inlet-Winyah Bay NERR. You will design, coordinate, and deliver professional training and technical assistance for coastal decision-makers, strengthening science-informed management and stakeholder capacity.

Required are a bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of related experience; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1+ years of related experience, which may be substituted by a combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities include coastal ecosystems and policy, excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to engage adult audiences in various settings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, market, and implement training activities and provide materials for coastal decision-makers.
  • Coordinate training program activities with Reserve staff and partner organizations.
  • Contribute to annual action plans and performance reports for the North Inlet–Winyah Bay NERR and participate in Training & Engagement Program activities.
