Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Float Certified Sterile Processing Technician to operate across nine coastal facilities. The role requires working both 1st and 2nd shifts, focusing on instrument reprocessing, packing, and sterilization in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will review surgical schedules, ensure instrument availability, and maintain strict documentation while supporting process improvements and staff orientation. High attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department are required.
• Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification (CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Review surgical schedules to identify instrument needs.
• Coordinate with inventory control and OR desk to ensure instruments are available.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, reassemble and package instruments for sterilization.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment and maintain records per standards.
• Assist with process improvements and orientation of new staff.
