Job summary

Sansum Clinic in Santa Barbara, CA, is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our OB/GYN team in an outpatient setting. This role offers no call responsibilities, dedicated medical assistant support, and a focus on preventive and reproductive health.

You will provide well-woman exams, contraceptive management, IUD/Nexplanon procedures, and postpartum rounding if desired. Join a collaborative, multispecialty group in one of California’s coastal communities.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with OB/GYN or women’s health experience.
• Board certification in the applicable discipline.
• Current California licensure; California furnishing license, if applicable.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong knowledge of preventive women’s healthcare, contraception management, and gynecologic conditions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive well-woman examinations and preventive health screenings.
• Provide contraceptive counseling, education, and management.
• Perform IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals.
• Evaluate and manage common gynecologic concerns.
• Provide women’s health triage, follow-up visits, and ongoing patient education.
• Develop individualized care plans for reproductive and preventive healthcare needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff for coordinated care.
• Participate in postpartum rounding if desired.
