Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista on the Central California Coast seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform specialized breast examinations, operate mammography equipment, and assist radiologists with procedures. You will ensure high quality imaging, maintain patient comfort, and adhere to safety and infection control standards.

Requirements include an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, CA RT and Mammography licensure, ARRT-R/M where required, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred.
• CA Radiologic Tech and Mammography licensure required.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-M required in some states (CA/OR/HI considerations).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Fluoroscopy license preferred in CA.
• Venipuncture certification preferred in CA.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient education regarding the exam while promoting privacy and comfort for the patient.
• Performs diagnostic or screening mammograms as ordered and assists Radiologist with biopsies or complex studies.
• Produces high-quality mammography images and documents results appropriately.
• Obtains pertinent patient information and communicates preparation instructions to care areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
