Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and four years’ experience, or a Master’s degree with two years of related experience.
  • Experience writing Federal regulatory documents adhering to agency guidance.
  • Experience assessing the impacts of human activities on marine species.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Oregon Washington Coastal Office through ESA consultations.
  • Write combined ESA Biological Opinions and responses to action agencies.
  • Review biological assessments and permit applications from action agencies.

Skills

Knowledge of salmonid general life cycles and habitat requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly proficient English language composition and editing skills
Working with diverse interagency teams
Program planning and management

Education

Bachelor’s degree in aquatic biology or related field
Master’s degree preferred
