Job summary

HDR is seeking a Coastal EIT/Coordinator to perform analysis and design for coastal restoration projects including marsh restoration, beach nourishment, shoreline protection, and navigation works. The role supports project teams across the Coastal Restoration business class.

Primary location is Corpus Christi, TX, with opportunities to contribute to dredging, marinas, and harbors while pursuing EIT certification and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and with a project team to completion of tasks.
• Active participant in an employee-owned culture.

Role Overview

In the role of Coastal EIT/Coordinator, we’ll count on you to perform analysis and design of coastal restoration projects including marsh restoration and beach nourishment; shoreline protection projects including revetments and breakwaters; and navigation projects including dredging, marinas, and harbors.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of construction plans and specifications.
• Developing technical reports.
• Preparation of proposals including project scope and fee estimates.
• Project management.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
