Aldevra is hiring a Construction Inspector to support US Coast Guard projects in Yorktown, VA. The role requires extensive field inspection, contract review, and coordination with project teams.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in construction inspection or QA/QC, Federal project experience, and OSHA 30 certification. The job is on-site with a full-time schedule and CAC clearance potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of construction experience in CI/quality control roles.
• Minimum two years on Federal Government construction projects (CI/QA/QC).
• Ability to read drawings/specs and know building codes.
• OSHA 30 certified.
• Experience with Construction Management Software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Valid Real-ID driver's license.
• Familiar with Windows and MS Office.
• Customer-focused and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-construction and other meetings; take meeting minutes.
• Review contracts and recommend changes with cost/schedule impacts.
• Comment on progress schedules and network diagrams.
• Provide daily on-site inspection for contract compliance.
• Witness tests; review reports; maintain field-test logs.
• Monitor surveys for layout; annotate as-builts accurately.
• Maintain submittal logs and filing system (UniFormat as applicable).
• Flag safety violations and coordinate corrective actions with team.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and punch lists.
