GIFFORDS Center for Violence Intervention advances community violence intervention as a public safety strategy by supporting frontline practitioners, strengthening state policy, and advocating for sustained CVI investment.
The Coalition Manager is a two-year, full-time fellowship focused on strengthening statewide CVI coalitions, expanding a national peer network, and supporting new coalitions in priority states. This relationship-focused role requires strong coordination and strategic skills, with quarterly travel and occasional work outside standard hours.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with strong project management and trauma-informed communication skills. They should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working with diverse stakeholders, organizing complex information, and supporting both internal and external initiatives in a fast-paced environment that seeks to uplift communities most impacted by gun violence.
The Fellow will receive mentorship, professional development, and exposure to CVI efforts across multiple states, while applying healing-centered and trauma-informed practices to coalition engagement.
The Fellow reports directly to the Associate Director of Coalitions, GCVI and works in close coordination with the Policy Director of the GCVI team. This fellowship experience will focus on strengthening the State CVI Coalition Alliance (SCCA), a national peer network for statewide CVI coalition leaders. The Fellow will support the evolution of SCCA from a content delivery convening model toward structured member development and cross-state coordination.

The salary range for this position is $71,000 - $77,000 annually, with the exact salary depending on experience.
