Job summary

JENNMAR Services is hiring Underground Coal Miners in the Prosperity, PA regions. We welcome both experienced Black Hat miners and entry-level Red Hat/Apprentice miners. If you lack underground mining certification, we can help you start with FREE 80-hour MSHA Underground New Miner Training for qualified candidates.

Pay ranges: Red Hat/Apprentice $22–$24/hour; Black Hat/Experienced $27–$28/hour. Sign-on & retention bonuses are available for qualified applicants; PTO, 401(k) with company matching

Qualifications

• Experienced miners must possess the Pennsylvania Underground Coal Miner certification.
• Apprentice/Red Hat candidates must meet applicable training and certification requirements.
• Must be able to regularly lift 50–75 pounds throughout the shift and work above shoulder/head level.

Responsibilities

• Roller and screen changes.
• Steel sets.
• Overcasts.
• Jacks.
• Seal preparation.
• Pumpable cribs.
• Scoop operation.
• Roof bolting.
• Other underground mining duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experienced miners must possess the appropriatePennsylvania Underground Coal Miner certification
• Apprentice/Red Hat candidates must meet applicable training and certification requirements
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to perform physically demanding underground work
• Ability to regularly lift50–75 pounds throughout the shift
• Ability to regularly lift and workabove shoulder/head level
• Must be able to successfully complete required pre-employment screening
• Hair follicle drug testing and alcohol testing required
