Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Coaching Manager to lead a team of Guides, cultivate leaders, and drive a culture of excellence across multiple campuses. You will mentor Guides, run life skills workshops, and push student outcomes using data-driven coaching practices.

The role emphasizes launching new campuses, guiding teams, and upholding rigorous standards while fostering accountability and growth within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership role.
• Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people, including hiring and performance-based termination decisions.
• Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements.
• Experience working with children ages 5-14 in educational, coaching, or developmental settings.
• Experience building or launching a new team, program, business, school, or initiative, with willingness to help open a new campus from zero.
• Willingness to work in a school model that rejects traditional lecture-based pedagogy.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Mentor Guides to provide exceptional student experiences while upholding Alpha's standards.
• Facilitate life skills workshops to cultivate communication, leadership, and practical skills for K-12 students.
• Inspire students to pursue ambitious learning objectives and advance in self-directed paths.
• Use data, observation, and coaching conversations to improve Guide effectiveness and student results.
• Support launching and establishing new Alpha campuses by promoting a culture of excellence and ongoing improvement.
