Job summary

East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled and passionate Technical Theater coach to support in-class instruction during the regular school day. The role involves lighting, sound, set, fight coordination, intimacy coaching, and costume design with credentialed theater teachers to deliver high‑quality theater education for a diverse student body.

Responsibilities include lesson planning, instruction, and performance support across one or more sites, collaborating with drama

Qualifications

• Experience with technical aspects of theater including lighting, sound, set design, fight coordination, intimacy training and sound design.
• Experience supervising volunteers, interns, or students is preferred.
• Experience working with theater personnel and outside clients.
• Fingerprints clearance and TB test results required prior to employment.
• Letters of recommendation and current resume required.

• Guide students through the creative process of lighting, sound, set and costume design.
• Mentor students to develop artistic skills through theatrical productions.

East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled and passionate Technical Theater coach possessing expertise in a variety of skills including but not limited to light, sound, set, fight coordinator, intimacy coach, and costume design to support in-class instruction during the regular school day. Throughout the school year, the coach will work alongside credentialed theater teachers at District High Schools, supporting all theatrical students in developing skills in the field of Technical Theater. This role includes lesson planning, instruction, and performance support at one or more school sites, contributing to high-quality technical theater education for a diverse student body.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Experience with technical aspects of the theater including but not limited to light, sound, set, fight coordination, intimacy training and sound design
• Experience supervising volunteers, interns, or students is preferred
• Experience working with other theater personal and outside clients
• Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results PRIOR to employment.

Key Tasks / Duties
