• Ability to transpose or simplify music as needed.

Responsibilities

• Accompany weekly choir rehearsals on piano.
• Provide part-learning support: play vocal lines and assist with sectional rehearsals when needed.
• Assist the choir director with teaching pitch, rhythm, and basic music literacy as needed.
• Accompany the choir during all scheduled concerts and performances.
• Support a positive, inclusive, and fun learning environment for young singers.
• Person serving in this capacity would be assigned to classes requiring piano accompaniment.
• May need to teach at multiple sites to meet requirement of base assignment.
• Attend occasional planning meetings or rehearsals outside regular hours (with advance notice).
