Job summary

Joplin R 8 School District DISTRICT WIDE – Joplin, Missouri – seeks a Head Intramural Boys Basketball Coach for the Middle School to lead practices and teach middle school students the fundamentals of basketball.

The ideal candidate is energetic, student‑focused, and able to supervise students, communicate with families, and ensure safe, compliant activities. Prior basketball coaching experience is preferred; immediate starting date is requested.

Qualifications

• Prior basketball coaching experience is preferred.
• Energetic, student-focused candidate with ability to teach middle school age students the skills needed to succeed in basketball.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students at all times during activities.
• Teach fundamentals of basketball and promote sportsmanship and teamwork.

Joplin Schools is accepting applications for the position of Head Intramural Boys Basketball Coach - Middle School. The ideal candidatewill be an energetic individual that enjoys working with middle school age students and has the ability to teach those students the skills needed to succeed in the sport of basketball. In addition, previous basketballcoachingexperience is preferred.
