Job summary

Rite of Passage Brand is looking for a Coach Counselor (Youth Care Worker) for their Tampa Residential Facility. This role focuses on care, safety, and education for moderate-risk male youth aged 14-18, utilizing evidence-based practices in various therapeutic settings.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and possess qualities such as being detail-oriented, dedicated, and flexible. Responsibilities include providing safety, mentoring, and overseeing activities to support youth development.

The position offers $19 per hour, with guaranteed overtime, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, physical, and TB test.
• Ability to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous in-person safety and security for residential youth.
• Meet physical, personal, and health needs through mentoring and skill development.
• Create an environment that supports individual needs and monitors behaviors, documenting observations.
• Participate in and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with professional staff to establish and meet treatment-plan goals.

Job description

Coach Counselor (Youth Care Worker) at Tampa Residential Facility, Tampa, Florida.

We employ a diverse, high‑quality workforce focused on care, safety, and education for moderate‑risk male youth ages 14‑18. The program uses evidence‑based practices and offers individual, family, and group counseling in addition to behavioral, mental‑health, and substance‑abuse services.

Pay

$19.00 per hour with 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.
