We are hiring for the position of Coach Cleaner at Amtrak in Rensselaer. The role involves cleaning train interiors and exteriors according to FDA and Amtrak standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing cleaning tasks on train cars following FDA and Amtrak guidelines
• Drain and flush waste tanks
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sweeping, and washing walls and windows
• Using chemical cleaners and equipment in compliance with safety and HAZCOM guidelines
• Maintaining proper care of cleaning materials and tools

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in cleaning
• Ability to complete required training and certifications
• Experience with commercial cleaning and OSHA-approved products is preferred
• Some computer skills are preferred
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and toilet servicing tools

Skills and Attributes:

Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

Additional Details:

The hourly rate ranges from $22.81 to $30.42, with potential increases based on collective bargaining agreements.
