Qualifications

• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certificate (employee funds) and Fundamentals of Coaching Course.
• NFHS Concussion certificate and Concussion in Sports Course, ATC Health & Wellness certificate (review PowerPoint and sign).
• Act on Facts Suicide Prevention Training or NFHS Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention certificate.
• Current CPR w/AED (online not accepted; EMT license supersedes).
• Current First Aid (online not accepted; EMT license supersedes).
• Bloodborne pathogen training
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Summary

Promote sportsmanship and foster good character in student-athletes. Provide for the safety and welfare of all participants. Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, busses, and at all times during the season. Exercise patience, tolerance, and diplomacy in relations with all players, parents, co-workers, contest officials, and spectators. Interscholastic activities are an extension of the classroom and as such, your actions, behavior, and interactions with our student-athletes should be reflective of this.

Minimum Requirements

• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certificate (at employee's expense) Fundamentals of Coaching Course
• NFHS Concussion certificate Concussion in Sports Course ATC Student-Athlete Health & Wellness certificate (must review PowerPoint and sign a document affirming PowerPoint has been reviewed)

Requirements Prior To Start Date

• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
