Job summary

Eastern Carver County Schools’ Chanhassen High School seeks an Assistant Dance Team Coach to support the program this winter. You will assist in daily operations, provide leadership, supervise athletes, and help plan practices that balance technique, conditioning, and routines.

The ideal candidate understands jazz technique, can model respectful mentorship, and coordinates with staff under the CEA Master Agreement. Coaching certification is recommended but not required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of jazz technique and choreography.
• Ability to lead a group and be a role model.
• Time management to plan practices balancing drills.
• Coaching license/certification recommended but not required.

Salary: Based on CEA Master Agreement

Job Summary: Assist in the overall operation, provide leadership, and supervision with Chanhassen Dance Team.

Qualifications/Experience/Duties:

• Knowledge in Jazz technique and choreography skills
• Respectfully lead a group and be an excellent role model and leader for the athletes
• Time management skills; need to plan practice agendas in order to balance practice time between strengthening, flexibility, technique training and drilling dances
• Respect/recognition of youth needs
• Coaching license/certification recommended/not required
