Job summary

Airgas is hiring a CDL B Microbulk Driver based in Alvin, TX, delivering CO2 to established customers on local routes with periodic regional travel across Texas and surrounding states. The role features an evening shift starting at 6pm with a predictable 8–10 hour day, and two weeks per month home daily while the other two weeks cover regional routes.

Eligible candidates hold a valid CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and Airbrake endorsements, have Hazmat on file, and can lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT, Tanker & Airbrake endorsements
• Hazmat IS REQUIRED. CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNLESS THEY CURRENTLY HAVE THEIR HAZMAT
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years

Responsibilities

• Support the transfer of product from the Airgas truck to the customer tank through hose hook up.
• Support the safety of our fleet by reviewing vehicles before and after use according to DOT and company maintenance checklists.
• Support the loading of Microbulk tanks and filling customer-owned Microbulk tanks as assigned.
• Partner with field service technicians with CO2 tank installations & repair work to support our shared goals.
• Collaborate to maintain DOT, SAFECOR, and Airgas vehicle documents, helping our team stay accurate and compliant.
• Nurture the safe working order of the route truck and ensure that routine and required maintenance occurs on a timely basis.

Compensation & Schedule

• Compensation: $28.00/Hr.
• Schedule: Monday - Thursday - Dedicated evening shift starting at 6pm - Predictable 8-10 hour daily schedule
• Two weeks per month, you will be home daily supporting your local area routes. The other two weeks per month, you will cover regional travel across Texas and states to the north or east, dedicated to these regional rotation routes.

Job Role

Airgas is looking for a CDL B Microbulk Driver; ideally, you bring X endorsements to support our National Carbonation Division. In this role, you will contribute to roughly 10-12+ deliveries of CO2 products and related supplies to established customers along assigned routes while supporting each unit to advance our goal of operating excellently and sustainably.
