Job summary

Panasonic Connect North America is seeking a CO₂ Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair automation equipment at customer sites. The role requires extensive travel and independent work to ensure top‑quality service.

Key duties include installation, modification, repair, documentation, and customer training, with a focus on safe practices and accurate reporting. Strong diagnostic and communication skills are essential for success in this role in the United States.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Laser, Electro, or Optics (or equivalent experience) required.
• Two+ years of related experience, including troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with PC software and appropriate tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and repair factory automation equipment at customer sites.
• Travel extensively (approx. 95%) within US, with possible trips to Mexico/Canada/Japan.
• Operate and program machines and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
• Prepare service and expense reports and other documentation.
• Provide customers with clear technical information and training.
• Support preventative maintenance schedules with customers and service coordinator.
• Maintain company assets and manage expenses to maximize profitability.
