Job summary

Delta Air Lines, Inc. Sustainability Analytics team is pursuing a mission toward a sustainable future and Net-Zero emissions by 2050.

You will engage in data enablement and analytics projects to reduce climate impact from flying, with ownership of end-to-end reporting and pipeline work. In this role you will analyze operational sustainability data, help design data pipelines, build and automate dashboards, and document processes for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sustainability data to support data strategy and Carbon Council initiatives.
• Help build data pipelines to streamline analytics processes.
• Create, automate, and maintain reports and dashboards with front- and back-end ownership.
• Evaluate and improve scripts for efficiency and accuracy.
• Document scripts, workflows, and data structures for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide ad-hoc support as needed.

Engage in pivotal projects that propel us toward achieving Net-Zero carbon emissions by 2050. Our team operates within two main domains: Data Enablement and Analytics, where you will play a critical role in eliminating our climate impact from flying.

Though individual responsibilities will vary by function, some examples are given below:

• Data Analysis & Strategy Support: Dive into sustainability-related operational data to uncover insights, supporting our data strategy and contributing to the Carbon Council and broader Global Sustainability initiatives.
• Data Discovery & Pipeline Assistance: Assist in the development of data pipelines to streamline our analytics processes.
• Reporting & Dashboard Development: Create, automate, and maintain various reports and dashboards, having ownership of both front-end and back-end responsibilities.
• Script Evaluation & Improvement: Assess current scripts for efficiency and accuracy, offering recommendations for enhancements to optimize performance.
• Documentation: Thoroughly document all existing scripts, workflows, and data structures, ensuring clarity and accessibility for both technical and non-technical team members.
