Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in life sciences, journalism, communications, marketing or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; Vertex does not sponsor internships/co-ops.
• Available to work full-time January–June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead communications projects across disease areas in our research pipeline.
• Develop website copy and social media content for program milestones and conferences.
• Create intranet content, patient and employee stories and multimedia content.
• Support disease affinity recognition and educate audiences.
• Compile metrics from campaigns to guide future media and digital strategy.
• Provide ad hoc support for ongoing initiatives.
