Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company in Montgomery, AL seeks a Packaging Engineering Co-Op to assist testing and validating control systems and BOM structure for multiple product lines. You will organize prototypes under daily direction from senior engineers.

The role requires in-person interaction, 40 hours per week, for 1-3 semesters and is not summer-only. Pursuing a bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering with strong communication and analytical skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Interest or experience in product design.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles (thermodynamics, statics, or electronics).
• Strong planning skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Test and validate control systems on an ongoing basis.
• Organize Bill of Materials structure for multiple product lines.
• Assist with prototype unit buildups under daily guidance from senior engineers.

Education
