Job summary

Organon is seeking a Co-Op Medical Device Engineer to join our Technical Operations team for a roughly 6-month assignment in Spring 2027 through Fall 2027. The role centers on executing design verification test methods and building SolidWorks drawings to support projects.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s in engineering or science, with strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with tensile/ compression testing.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering/scientific discipline.
• Highly organized, problem-solving and methodical in completing technical assignments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable challenging the status quo in a professional manner across the organization to benefit the project and patient outcome.
• Preferred CAD/SolidWorks experience and familiarity with CAD drawings.
• Experience with Instron tensile/compression equipment.

Responsibilities

• The Co-Op will work with Technical Operations Engineers to execute device test methods for design verification from development to final test reports.
• They will build device drawings in SolidWorks to aid technical projects.
• They should be familiar with tensile and compression test equipment.
• The role requires self-motivation, optimism, resilience and a high degree of technical acumen.
