Job summary

Rockwell Automation is offering a cooperative engineering position in Chelmsford, MA, January to August 2027. The role involves cross-functional R&D work on electrical connectors, sensors, switches, and enclosures for industrial environments.

You will join teams, design test systems, and contribute to product validation. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an engineering degree with a GPA of 2.75 or higher, legal US work authorization, and proximity to Chelmsford.

Qualifications

Active enrollment in a bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
Legal authorization to work in the US is required; we will not sponsor visas.
Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering/Systems Engineering or similar is preferred.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering assignments on part of a major project or a complete project.
Demonstrate creativity in developing solutions to maintain Rockwell Automation’s industry leadership.
Define and perform engineering tests to qualify designs.
Design electro-mechanical test systems for engineering design validation projects.
Execute engineering change orders and manage BOMs.
Create and modify CAD models and drawings.
