Job summary

Saab, Inc. in Syracuse, NY is seeking a student for a Co-Op IT Support role to deliver daily technical assistance for Microsoft 365 and endpoint devices. You will assist with basic network issues, configure laptops and desktops, and help maintain data integrity while communicating effectively with users.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS.
• General understanding of Windows-based systems and basic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPN).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Commitment to excellent customer service and follow-up.
• Exposure to Active Directory concepts (preferred).

Job description

• Provide daily technical support for workplace information and communications systems, including Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Office Suite).
• Assist with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting laptops, desktops, and workstations, including basic network and system issues.
• Help maintain data integrity and file system security, including managing permissions and access in Microsoft 365 under guidance.
• Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
• Support research and provide recommendations for hardware and software solutions aligned with organizational needs.
• Assist with ongoing IT infrastructure and technology projects as assigned.
• Help deliver basic training and guidance to users on common applications and tools.

Compensation Range:

$18.24 - $20.27 per hour

In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab, Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to offset housing expenses for Co-Op students residing outside the typical office commuting distance. The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
